Creativity they say knows no bounds. You can't draw a think black line and say 'that's it... thats until where you can go' because someone will take a crayon and a draw a cirlce around it and turn it into a lolipop. With the brightest of colors. Sure, you'll probably get messy and you'll probably drop plops of paint on it but it's completely ok. As long as you're having fun... you're learning.  And when they try to tag you and put you into this little box of categories.. refuse to fit in! It's ok to not fit into any rather than fit perfectly into one of their boxes.

Creativity is what fuels imagination. If you are nicely packaging your creation, boxing it up in a nice smelling paper bag, handing glasses over to your audience and telling them to see your point, you are killing imagination. Art is something you put out there.. openly, anyone can touch it, play with it, change it. Let them look at it with their short and long sighted glasses, allow them to draw their own conclusion and encourage to say their own stories - that is true art. That makes for true inspiration. So yup, go ahead and draw your masterpiece - http://www.jacksonpollock.org/ :)

some inspiration :)

I don't exactly remember how i came to this site. Its an Nvidia site called speakvisual.com. Theres info about different kinds of artists, who use computers as a tool. One of them was Emily Taguchi. I was reading through her profile and it said she was a "journalist and a filmmaker who travels the world looking for stories to tell - human stories that provide a better understanding of the world as it is and as it could be." I just had to know more about her and her work. So I found one of her documentaries on PBS called "The silk grandmothers." Its this documentary she made of the revival of the silk making tradition in Cambodia.

You can find it here.

Its not the most glamorous documentaries, but it is worth watching. There is this moment in the documentary where Morimoto (the guy who came to cambodia from japan and setup the silk weaving institute) is talking about why. And he says "Simply, I have a love for fabrics." There is just pure joy in his voice.
